A Thanksgiving Thank You!
Jason, a local radio DJ, was a product of a single family home and remembers how difficult holidays were for him and his mother. He reached out to us wanting to help a single parent family, so they didn't have to experience what he did during the holidays. We introduced him to April (an Extended Family grant award recipient and a hard working single mother). Jason met with her and spent his time and money to provide a Thanksgiving April and her kids will cherish forever!
From all of us at Extended Family, Thank you Jason - You Rock!
Wonderful News! Email Received August 29, 2016:
Good Morning Mark and other members of EF,
I am now able to get things in order. I have a plan in place and first thing is to fix my credit, this will allow me to get a reliable vehicle and have a back up credit card and in the future (when the real estate market is better) purchase a home.
Its still not easy but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Things are really looking up. Hopefully my rainy day savings can actually have a balance too! : )
I want to thank you all for what you do, It changes lives for those of us who have no one else to turn to. My hope is that in the near future I can be a beacon of light for someone like myself.

Good Morning Mark,
I can’t find words to express my gratitude for your assistance in my time of need. When I received the grant letter and check I couldn’t stop tears from coming down my face. I get discouraged often, but your organization lets me know there are people who do care and want to see others succeed. Through all of my “character building” I am able to smile :) this was the help that I have been praying for, I’m grateful! My family and I just want to say thank you and we appreciate your quick response to our need.
I have given information about Extended Family to [a committee within my company]. They assist with getting donations for non profit organizations and I hope that they are able to get donations sent to you so that more families in need can benefit from the wonderful work you do!
